Our Philosophy

Vision Statement: Hiz Kidz First will be a place where parents will want to bring their children because they know, without a doubt, it is a clean, safe environment with a staff who seeks to develop the whole child physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally as well as spiritually through activities and guidance that is Bible-based and Christ-centered.

MissionStatement: To extend the ministry of and to help accomplish the mission of First Baptist Church of High Springs by providing Christian childcare, excellent preschool education, and progressive development for each child; to encourage them to grow to their greatest potential in the areas of cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.

Philosophy of Education: We believe preschoolers to be active learners who learn at different rates of speed. For that reason we seek to develop the whole child cognitively, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually through learning activities and guidance according to developmentally appropriate practice.

Expected Student Outcomes: Students, parents and staff from Hiz Kidz First will exhibit Christ like qualities such as compassion, integrity, empathy, sincerity and love for one another. As students complete their preschool experience at Hiz Kidz First, it is expected that the child will have a positive concept of him/herself, model Christian principles and will have obtained readiness skills for elementary education.

Statement of Purpose: Hiz Kidz First is about children and their families and believes it has a responsibility to provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential. Our goal is to nurture each child and help them learn how to work and relate to others through positive Christian guidance and modeling. Each child is accepted as he or she is in his/her own stage of development.

  • Each child is created by God to be unique and special
  • Self-esteem and esteem for others are affirmed by nurturing teachers who understand how young children learn and guide them accordingly.
  • Self-respect and respect for others are taught by respecting the individuality of each child.
  • Children and parents are most secure when Christian moral and spiritual values are reinforced in the classroom setting.
  • Children learn to their maximum potential when age appropriate materials and resources are used in guiding their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and moral/spiritual development.
  • Our homes, state, and nation are best served when the values of God are revealed to children by the day to day Christian lifestyle of parents, teachers, and significant others.
